Shaykh Abdurrahman Sayed, who will be delivering this program has been a supervising social worker and is currently a deputy manager for an Islamic Fostering Service (Foster Care Link). A well established service, endeavouring to bridge the gap between suitable families and children in need.
Bringing together an Islamic perspective and understanding the UK fostering system will help to see how fostering in Muslim communities can benefit children, families and the wider society.
This is a great opportunity for people to take part and enlighten themselves with how fostering works in the UK and within Muslim communities.
