Foster Care Link is the only Muslim specialist agency in the UK. We are a unique and dedicated specialist service in finding Muslim families for Muslim children of varying backgrounds and ethnicities. We have been Ofsted Outstanding since 2014 and have carers across various regions of England.

Since establishing in 2002, we have been given the opportunity to manage placements for over seventy Local Authorities, and have placed hundreds of children in successful foster placements.

We have developed detailed Preferred Provider Agreements with Local Authorities with whom we work closely. You can read our statement of purpose here. Alongside offering fostering placements, we have also offered consultancy advice, workshops and training to Local Authorities to assist them with issue pertaining to Muslim children in care

Frequently Asked Questions

Applicants must be aged over 21.
You must have a spare bedroom in your home and secure accommodation i.e. long term tenancy or homeowner.
You must be normally resident in the UK and have a good level of spoken English.
If you have committed certain crimes such as crimes against children, you will not be able to become a foster carer. Please note, you need to be open and honest when applying to foster. Most minor crimes will not stop you from becoming a foster carer, but if you do not disclose this in your application form and we later find that you have convictions, we may have to discontinue your assessment. All applicants are Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS formally CRB) checked to an enhanced level.

You must be willing to work with other professionals and have the commitment to attend training so that you can learn how to become good foster carers.

You also must be willing to undertake an assessment which will include a number of visits to your home by a social worker from our agency who will ask detailed questions about many aspects of your life.

Making a referral

Making referrals to Foster Care Link is simple. You may follow one of the two options below:

Option A: 

Send placements profiles directly by email (admin@fostercarelink.com), ensuring full details of the person to contact regarding the placement are included. Our duty social worker will then contact you to discuss further and offer possible placement matches from our database.

Option B: 

Call our Referrals Line on 020 8880 5387. After completing a referral matching form. Our duty social worker will thereafter contact you to take further details if necessary, and will then offer possible placement matches that are suitable.
